What is The Secret Group?

We are a promotional group started by 4 local stand up comics with our own bar and show room located in Houston, Texas.
We put on local and nationally touring comedy and music acts as well as special

Where are you located?

We are located at 2101 Polk St. #A in East Downtown Houston, Texas.
The entrance to our club is at the corner of Polk and St. Emanuel St.
We also have a smaller room called The Box and it has its own marked entrance on Polk.

Parking?!!!

Do not park on Polk. They are now enforcing no-parking zones in bike lanes and so you will be ticketed or towed if you are parked in a bike lane!
There is street parking available on surrounding streets, some of which is metered, but all of which is free after 6pm!
There are a variety of pay lots in the area which are typically priced $5-10.
We recommend paying for a monitored lot over looking for a free spot a couple blocks away for convenience and safety.

Do take note that if there is an event at The Toyota Center or BBVA Compass Stadium like a Rockets or Dynamo game, parking will become more scarce and you will see the pay lot rates increase.

As always, PLEASE TAKE YOUR KEYS, LOCK YOUR CAR, AND DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN SIGHT!

Also consider using a ride sharing service.

Can I buy tickets somewhere other than online?

For most events you can purchase at the door in person on the day of the show.
Of course if you’re worried the event might sell out then your only option is to purchase online.
You can contact us on facebook or over email to check on the sales status of an event.

Can I get a refund?

All ticket refunds for tickets PURCHASED ONLINE are done through our ticket provider, Seat Engine < Will need to update

If your ticket was purchased IN PERSON contact us through one of the means listed under CONTACT

What are your hours?

Our normal hours of operation are 5pm to 2am daily.
That’s right, we aren’t just open for shows but operate as a late night bar every day of the week!

Why are some of your events listed at other venues?

Sometimes when we like an entertainment act and they would like to perform for us, our venue doesn’t fit their specific needs.
Because of this we sometimes work with other local spots. Do check what location is listed on the event page!

Are shows for only for people aged 21 and up?

It depends on the event. Most shows should have an age restriction listed on their event page on our calendar.
Currently our recurring events (karaoke, comedy open mic, late night comedy, etc) are 21+ and most comedy shows are 18+ but most touring acts whether they are bands or stand up comedians will put on all-ages shows.
After the show is over however, we may ask those under age to leave the bar as when there is no show, we are just a regular bar.

Can we take pictures and/or video?

At comedy shows, pictures and video are not allowed.
Anyone caught taking video will absolutely have to delete what they have recorded, or you may be removed from the venue.
Please wait until afterwards to take pictures with the comedians.
Musical acts will vary based on the desires of each band.

Are there VIP tickets available?

This will vary between shows.

Is there a drink minimum?

Unlike most comedy clubs, we don’t have any drink minimum! Come enjoy a show even if drinking isn’t your thing.
We also have many non-alcoholic options including locally roasted Cruiser cold-brewed coffee on a nitrogenated tap.
It’s some of the best coffee we’ve ever had!

Do you serve food?

We do not currently serve food but there are many food options nearby and you are welcome to bring food inside the venue.
Some of our favorites include Rodeo Goat, Seaside Poke, Vinny’s pizzaria for take out or Huynh’s and Nancy’s Hustle if you’re looking to dine in before arriving.
